LIUGONG are continuing to support the transition toward sustainable construction with the recent deployment of an 870HE electric wheel loader at a STRABAG quarry in Slovenia. As one of Europe’s leading construction technology groups, STRABAG are actively promoting sustainability across their operations.

Currently, fuel consumption is the largest contributor to STRABAG’s carbon footprint. Advancing different low- and zero-emission drive technologies for construction machinery is key to achieving the company’s climate neutrality target by 2040 – a commitment to environmental responsibility aligns closely with LiuGong’s vision of delivering zero-emission solutions for the heavy equipment industry.

The LiuGong 870HE, one of the manufacturer’s most advanced electric wheel loaders, demonstrates how zero-emission solutions can be successfully integrated into heavy-duty applications. Designed for productivity, reliability, and efficiency, the machine supports the customer in achieving their sustainability targets without compromising performance.

‘The 870HE is one of our most requested electric machines – powerful, reliable, and built for real-world performance. We are proud to support STRABAG in advancing their zero-emission goals with our electric solutions,’ said Matthias Maehler – DACH regional manager for LiuGong Machinery Europe BV.

‘Decarbonizing our construction machinery is a key step in reducing our emissions. In collaboration with our partners, we are exploring a variety of drive technologies. The electric wheel loader from LiuGong shows how low-emission operation and high performance can be successfully combined at our quarries,’ commented Lutz Müller, technical manager – aggregates and concrete, south-east Europe at STRABAG.

With increasing demand for low-emission equipment across Europe, LiuGong say they remain committed to driving innovation and supporting quarry and construction customers on their journey toward a more sustainable future.
